Refugee girl's body washed up on Turkey's western coast

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) A young girl’s body was among those washed up on Turkey’s western coast on Sunday in a chilling reminder of the death of three-year-old Aylan Kurdi.

In an echo of the boat disaster that shocked the world in September drowned refugees’ corpses were carried to the coastline near the resort city of Bodrum.

Up to 15 people were missing from a boat that sank late Thursday. Nine bodies have so far been recovered.

An image of a young girl’s body wedged between rocks flooded social media in Turkey as users commented on the tragedy.

The girl was identified as a four-year-old Syrian girl called Sena after a survivor Nirvan Hassan identified her.

The bodies have been sent to the provincial capital Mugla for autopsy.
