(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Members of rock band Eagles of Death Metal have spoken about their concert in Paris where gunmen shot and killed 89 people last week. Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme sat down for an interview with Vice founder Shane Smith, which will premiere on the website next week. Vice has released a preview of the interview in which Hughes emotionally discusses the tragedy. "Several people hid in our dressing room, and the killers were able to get in and killed every one of them except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket," Hughes says in the clip.
"People were playing dead, and they were so scared," Hughes goes on to say. "A great reason why so many were killed is because so many people wouldn't leave their friends. So many people put themselves in front of people." The Vice interview marks the band's first since the concert. All members of the band survived the attack, but three members of their team did not; the band's merchandise manager, Nick Alexander, and three of the label's employees - Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser and Manu Perez - were killed.
