UAE- MoFA Under Secretary receives French Ambassador

ABU DHABI 22nd November 2015 (WAM) -- Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs MoFA has received Michel Miraillet the French Ambassador to the country.

During the meeting which was held at Al Raisi's office at the ministry the Under-Secretary conveyed his sincere condolences to the French government and the families of the victims of the recent attacks in Paris reiterating the UAE's solidarity and support of France its government and its people during this difficult time.

The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest and latest developments particularly regarding the strict security measures currently upheld in France and Europe while stressing the importance of cooperation by the international community to counter terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

In a statement released Thursday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised UAE nationals to exercise caution while travelling in Schengen countries due to tightened security measures in Europe.
