Ministry of Energy to participate in UAE Innovation Week

ABU DHABI 22nd November 2015 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Energy has announced plans for launching a number of initiatives as part of its participation in UAE Innovation Week to be marked at the ministry's offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from November 22nd-28th.

In a press release today the ministry said it will launch around 10 initiatives throughout the event which is held in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the follow-up of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to help make the UAE Government the most innovative in the world.

The Ministry of Energy also said that it seeks to create an integrated strategy for energy which will develop a society that protects resources and uses various sources of sustainable energy. The ministry added that it is working to develop and regulate its energy sector legislation and policies in accordance with best international standards and practices to integrate different sources of energy including renewable energy to support the UAE's economic development.
