Security issues top agenda at East Asia Summit in Malaysia


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Kuala Lumpur.10 Safar1437 AH 22 November2015 SPA -- Leaders of 18 nations began the East Asia Summit in Malaysia Sunday with security issues expected to be on top of the agenda dpa reported.
New Zealand Prime Minsiter John Key said security concerns were heightened following the deadly terrorist attacks in several countries during the past few weeks.
Other issues to be discussed are clean energy maritime cooperation South China Sea territorial disputes and the political tensions in the Korean peninsula.
The summit includes the 10-member Association of South-East Asian Nations plus China Russia Japan South Korea India Australia New Zealand and the United States.
