Cloudy weather likely today

DOHA: The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy weather today and said the night could be colder as temperatures could come down to between 21 and 23 degrees C at places. Day temperatures are also forecast at between 25 and 28 degrees C with Al Ruwais witnessing a relatively colder day (25 degrees C) as well as night (23 degrees C) as the difference between day and nightly mercury levels will be just two degrees C.

In Doha the temperature tonight will be 22 degrees C while the day will be a little hotter with the temperature likely to be 28 degrees.

Messaieed and Al Wakrah in the south of the country are expected to witness 21 degrees C at night while in the day the mercury levels will be 28 degrees C. The forecast for Al Khor says the nightly temperature there will be 22 degrees whereas day mercury levels will be 28 degrees C.

High winds are forecast for early this morning the Met office said in its routine forecast for last night until 6 am today. This means that the wind would kick up dust at places with some scattered clouds.

Northwesterly wind will move at speeds ranging from 10 to 20 to 25 knots an hour inland at places while offshore northwesterly wind will move at between 20 and 28 knits an hour.

Visibility will be low between four and eight km at times decreasing to even three km at places at times said the Met office. About the state of the sea the bureau said that waves could reach from one foot to four near the shore whereas the deep sea could be tumultuous with waves jumping up to six to nine foot.
