Kuwait- CBK Governor wins Visionary Award Central Bank Governor for 2015

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT Nov 19 (KUNA) -- The Union of Arab Banks (UAB) has awarded Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) Governor Mohammad Y. Al-Hashel with the "Visionary Award - Central Bank Governor for the Year 2015".Al-Hashel was given the award on the sidelines of the Annual Arab Banking Conference for 2015 in Beirut between November 19-21 in recognition of Al-Hashel's notable achievements and efforts in establishing monetary policies and regulatory frameworks in the State of Kuwait that aim to reinforce financial and monetary stability safeguard the banking sector and increase the level of trust in the national economy.In an award-giving ceremony the CBK governor appreciated the UAB's initiative as a sign of appreciation for the State of Kuwait and its central bank.He said he would like to dedicate this prize to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah thanking him for relentless efforts and wise directives for the CBK.Al-Hashel reiterated the CBK's eagerness to step up efforts in the fields of monetary policy and control and supervisory programs for banks in Kuwait propping up monetary and financial stability.The Visionary Award is awarded for financial and banking achievements in the Arab World.
