2 dead 5 injured in road accidents


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Nov. 19 (Petra)-- Two persons died and five others were injured in road accidents on Wednesday the Civil Defence Department (CDD) said in a statement.

It said a passerby was killed in Zarqa when a lorry collided with a van forcing it to veer onto the roadside killing the pedestrian and causing cuts and bruises to the driver. Medics rushed to the scene and administered first aid to the injured driver before evacuating the dead and the driver to the hospital.

Elsewhere a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided in the Dead Sea area injuring a 24-year old man body.

In the Karak governorate 4 people were wounded when a vehicle overturned in the Zahoum area east of Karak. They were reported in moderate condition after being transferred to Prince Ali Military Hospital.
