(MENAFN) Apple Inc., the American multinational technology behemoth, is fiercely crushing the numbers and breaking all records as its mainstream gadgets continue to sell like cupcakes all over the globe.
India is no exception as Apple's sales in the Asian nation has exceeded the USD1 billion mark for the first time in the year ended March, mainly due to the ever soaring demand for the famous iPhones.
The world's largest information technology firm by revenue registered a 44 percent surge in sales this year to USD979.8 million from USD680.65 million in 2014 and the gross profit doubled to USD36.7 million.
Besides the huge demand for IPhone, this significant growth was made possible from expanding the company's retail network and stepping up marketing efforts, including buyback schemes, installment programs and discounts.
