6.8 magnitude quake hits off Solomon Islands
SYDNEY 19th November 2015 (WAM) -- A 6.8-magnitude quake struck off the Solomon Islands late Wednesday night the US Geological Survey has said but no tsunami warning was issued.
The tremor with a depth of 10.82 kilometres struck 119 kilometres southwest of Dadali in the Pacific Solomon Islands at 2.31 a.m.. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said in a statement that there was no tsunami threat from the quake based on all available data.
