UAE- Longlist announcements continue for Zayed Award: Young Author contenders revealed

ABU DHABI 18th November 2015 (WAM) --The Sheikh Zayed Book Award SZBA announced today its long list for its Young Author prize in the tenth cycle. The longlist for the category consists of 11 titles out of 335 nominations received in the category. The nominations came from 18 Arabic countries mostly Egypt Saudi Arabia the UAE and Jordan.

The longlist includes works by Syrian Hossam Saffan Ali Al Shaali from the UAE Huda Salah Rashid from Iraq Abdel Kebir Elhassani from Morocco Mustapha El Gharrafi also from Morocco Abdelghani Boussekek from Algeria Bushra Abdulla from the UAE Khalid Abida from Tunisia Mazin Marsool Mohammed from Iraq Abdelhak Azzouzi from Morocco and Boutheina Khaldi from Tunisia.

Last week the award announced 12 titles selected under the Arts and Literary Criticism Award longlist. The announcements will continue on a weekly basis for the remaining awards.
