Singapore's outbound shipments dip 0.5 percent in Oct

(MENAFN) Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX), dropped a slight 0.5 percent in October on-year, compared to 0.3 percent growth over the prior month.

The slight dip came as a result for the contraction in electronic NODX which outweighed the increase in non-electronic NODX, as explained by industry reports.

As for the electronic exports, they plunged by 3.2 percent in Oct on-year as opposed to 5.7 percent rise in September, mainly due to parts of PCs, ICs and parts of ICs.

Accordingly, non-electronic exports rose by 0.7 percent on-year in October, after the 1.9 percent fall in the prior month, led by pharmaceuticals and non-electric engines.
