S. Korea's PC sales fall under USD1m over Q3


(MENAFN) South Korea's PC sales decreased below USD 1mn units during the three months to September timeframe, marking the first time to hit this level in over 10 years.

Furthermore, PC sales reached to 990,000 units in the first nine months, deteriorating 4.6 percent from 2014; therefore laptops sales touched 460,000 units.

In addition to that, the July-September period recorded the lowest since the 920,000 units displayed through the three months to June period of the year 2005.

Accordingly; the S. Korean market will change into a conflict between slim-sized laptops and detachable tablet PCs in the next year, according to IDC Korea data.
