Egypt allocates USD127m to face rainwater crisis

(MENAFN) The Egyptian Holding Company for water received more money from the Ministry of Finance, totaling up to USD127.3 million, according to the recent reports.

This huge allocation comes to support and boost the government's efforts in resolving the rainwater crisis, let alone the annual suffering for coastal governorates.

Accordingly, the governorate of Alexandria and other coastal governorates are distressed from heavy rains which led to rising water levels in streets, homes and commercial facilities.

"The ministry does not in any way refuse any requests filed by governors to support wastewater and drinking water networks," declared the Minister of Finance.
