Kuwait, Canada discuss academic cooperation in Arabic language


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Chairman of Kuwait's Cultural Office in Canada Dr. Fahad Al-Nasser discussed with Dr. Abdallah Obeid, Director of the Arabic Chair and Arabic program coordinator at the University of Ottawa (uOttawa), ways to increase cooperation in teaching the Arabic language.
The two sides stressed importance of cooperation in the field of teaching Arabic language at uOttawa, the cultural office said in a press statement Tuesday, adding that they also discussed other subjects, such as administrative training for academic authorities.
A number of proposals and agreements on boosting cooperation between Kuwait's cultural office and the Canadian university were also discussed.
uOttawa was established in 1865 and currently have around 7,000 students in various majors.
