Kuwait- Large turnout at sheep, goat races lot


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A huge number of sheep and goal breeders have attended the lot organized for the upcoming sheep and goat races of the Sixth National Heritage Festival at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village late Tuesday.
Over 1,100 sheep and goat breeders have applied for their animals to partake in the different categories of the races, Head of the Sheep Competitions and Member of the Higher Organizing Committee of the National Heritage of the Festival Saif Al-Shallahi told KUNA.
He pointed out that the races would be held on the tracks of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village in Al-Salmi as of Wednesday.
Some of the races would be exclusively for sheep and goats owned by Kuwaiti breeders and some others would be open for animals owned by breeders of all nationalities.
Al-Shallahi confirmed that the committee has completed preparations for the popular competitions.
He thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for sponsoring the festival for the sixth year in row.
