(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Nov 17 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah said Monday there was a resemblance between textiles and weaving in Kuwait and Peru.Cultural exchange and interaction between nations will promote their relationship Sheikh Salman told KUNA after the inauguration of the 1st Peru Textile exhibition co-organized by Embassy of Peru Sadu House and Peru-Kuwait friendship committee."We want culture to be the link among peoples in order to strengthen the principles of humanity and peace" said Sheikh Salman who also heads the National Council for Culture Art and Letters (NCCAL).He thanked Sheikha Altaf Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Sadu House Honorary President for sponsoring this heritage.Sheikha Altaf said the exhibition was part of their program which was about how Culture of Textile could be used to exchange art and culture among peoples.She said this program paved way for the Embassy of Peru to show the country's different types of textiles and weaving.She said textile of Peru was similar to the Sadu in terms of design and color despite the huge geographical distance between Peru and Kuwait. "Culture and Arts speak a universal language which is the language of humanity expression and creativity" added Sheikha Altaf.The exhibition includes clothes accessories and bags in addition to paintings and some house accessories.
