Bahraini Alba seeks solid expansion upon cutting costs


(MENAFN) Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), owner of one of the world's biggest smelters of the lightweight metal is dedicated to reach its ambitious goal of reducing cash costs by USD150 a ton.

The firm expects to reach this target by next January, and it looks forward to cut it even more, not to mention its firm claim that it has all development and expansion plans right on track.

Furthermore, as an indicator for its steady progress, Alba has received government approval in June for the new line which is set to increase its annual outcome by 514,000 tons to 1.45 million tons.
