Kuwait- '8,000 'bedoun' registered in 1965 deserve naturalization'


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major- General Sheikh Mazen Al- Jarrah said 8,000 of the 32,000 stateless people or the so-called 'Bedoun' who had registered during the 1965 census deserve naturalization, reports Al- Qabas daily.

On the other hand, Director- General of Residence Affairs Department Major-General Talal Ma'arafi said 13,000 thousand workers have been reported absconding and accused the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor for not investigating the authenticity of such reports which are issued randomly.
