GCC Customs Union Commission to Meet Private Sector on Monday


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The GCC customs union commission will hold, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council on Monday, the 3rd joint meeting with the private sector.

The meeting is scheduled to discuss strengthening cooperation between customs administrations in the GCC and the private sector and means that can be followed to facilitate the movement of goods between the GCC countries and to identify the chambers of commerce and businessmen proposals to facilitate the transport of goods from customs departments in member states.

The customs administrations will also present their views about the role that can be played by the private sector in helping the customs administrations to accelerate the processes of goods displacement. The outcomes of the meeting will be referred to the next meeting of Committee on Financial and Economic Cooperation of the Secretariat of the Cooperation Council.
