KRCS delivers 250 food packages to Syrian refugees in Lebanon


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) on Sunday continued with its process of handing out humanitarian and relief aid, mainly involving food and medicine, to thousands of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
The KRCS has delivered 250 food packages and cleaning tools to Syrian refugee families in Miniah and Tripoli in northern Lebanon, Youssef Boutros, Lebanon Red Crescent (LRC) coordinator told KUNA.
Boutros praised Kuwait's efforts to alleviate Syrians' humanitarian suffering and woes, adding that Kuwait's humanitarian aid is part of a chain of aid deliveries by KRCS since the begining of the Syrian crises, in cooperation with the LRC.
Number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon has reached more than one million - most of them in northern Lebanon.
