THE RAS AL Khaimah Mountain Festival has its final day today so this is your last chance to join in the fun. Sponsored by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority the festival marks the opening of the season of outdoor pursuits for organisers Challenging Adventure.

Held on the site of a natural oasis at Wadi al Bih which you can find on the road to Jebel Jais - the highest mountain in the UAE the two-day festival is designed to encourage families and adventure-seekers to try a range of fun outdoor activities such as rock climbing archery den building and orienteering. Arts and crafts and an authentic cultural show will also be on offer to entertain visitors of the emirate. Alternatively guests can relax in the natural hot spring plunge pools whilst enjoying the beautiful landscape unique to Ras Al Khaimah.

The festival runs from 9.30am - 4.30pm today. For those looking to make it a fun weekend away overnight camping with tents for hire is also available followed by an evening BBQ and DJ party for guests to unwind as the sun goes down.

Tickets are available on the door at Dhs150 for a family of four (two adults and two children aged 3-11) which includes entry and three taster activities. Tickets for individuals (also including three taster activities) are Dhs75.

Tent hire tickets to the evening event and extra activities can all be purchased separately for a small charge (see costs below).
