Six Kuwaiti students in foreign schools infected with Swine Flu


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Six Kuwaiti students in a foreign school, aged six to 10 years old, have been found to be infected with swine flu. According to sources, five of these students are currently undergoing treatment in Amiri Hospital; whereas the guardian of the other student has submitted a request for treatment in another country to the Overseas Treatment Department.

Earlier, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Bader Al-Essa refuted allegations on swine flu case in public schools; indicating some students in private schools are suspected of infection but the ministry has yet to confirm or deny the suspicion. Sources affirmed the ministry has taken the necessary precautionary procedures to prevent spread of the disease. Sources said the ministry has instructed the concerned officials to immediately isolate a student with swine flu.
