UAE- ADNOC BP sign MoU for earth surface technology centre

ABU DHABI 12th November 2015 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi National Oil Company ADNOC and British Petroleum BP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU for development of a centre for earth surface technology. The centre's core mission will be to improve optimisation and management of oil reservoirs and increase extraction of oil and gas from hydrocarbons in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

A joint press release distributed at ADIPEC 2015 said that according to the MoU BP will provide technical assistance to ADNOC for setting technical standards for works and products which will be approved and used to ensure better delivery of strategic objectives aimed at improving performance through enhanced oil recover EOR technique.

The MoU crowned technical discussions which began between the two oil companies in 2014.

Mohammed Al Qubaisi Director of Exploration and Production ADNOC highlighted the importance of this partnership in optimally introducing modern technology. "The MoU will contribute to establishing a pool of Emirati oil and gas experts and upgrading ADNOC readiness preparedness and resilience to respond to urgent challenges" he said.
