Qatar- IIS Boys Handball team wins CBSE Cluster


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) IIS Boys Handball teams with Principal Syed Shoukath Ali and team officials.

Doha: Ideal Indian School Boys Handball team emerged as overall champions in the ‘CBSE Qatar Cluster Handball Competition’ held recently at MES Indian School.

Ideal Indian School Under-19 Boys Handball team emerged as champions defeating MES Indian School in the final. Earlier Ideal Indian School defeated DPS Modern Indian School in semifinals.

The team consisted of Zacharie Arash Ghavami (Captain) Abdul Rehman Mohammad Asmar Arshad Roshan K Shankar Arjun Omer Zed Gomea Fahed Sayed Abinash Nepal Faisal Bilal Ahmed and Fahad Zada.

In Boys Under-14 category Ideal Indian School stood third in the tournament. The teams were trained by Satender Singh Panwar.

The team has qualified to participate in the CBSE National Handball Championship 2015-16 which is scheduled to be held at Dehradun Public School Uttar Pradesh India from December 1 to 5.
