Israel to build 891 housing units in Bethlehem

Occupied Jerusalem: Israeli municipality in Jerusalem approved Wednesday the construction of 891 housing units in the settlement of Gilo which is established on Bethlehem territory in the occupied West Bank Israeli daily (Yedioth Ahronoth) reported on its website.

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in a visit the United States the municipality has decided to announce the construction of settlement units near the town of Beit Jala the Israeli daily added.

The municipality has claimed that the construction plan was approved in 2013 and that only the adoption of the plan is technical.
