UAE Pioneers award ceremony to take place on 15th November in Dubai

DUBAI 10th November 2015 (WAM) --- Under the patronage of and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai the second edition of the 'UAE Pioneers' initiative will be organised on Sunday 15th November 2015 in Dubai to award 44 Emirati personalities who excelled in various fields.

The ceremony will be held during the 44th UAE National Day celebrations where H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid will honour distinguished Emirati personalities in various fields such as education health innovation technology sports arts culture media and philanthropy as well as government and military sectors and distinguished initiatives in various fields.

The Organising Committee said nominations ended on Tuesday 10th November and that the circulation of the hashtag UAEPioneers reached more than three million persons and received more than 2600 official entries on the website of the initiative and social networking sites. These entries will be reviewed by the specialized committee.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid will award pioneers with special medals and their names will be archived in the Government Year Book of the UAE Pioneers.

During the ceremony H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will launch the '2014 UAE Pioneers' book published in cooperation with Dar Kuttab Publishing House and contains inspiring stories about 43 Emirati pioneers who were honoured last year.

The UAE Pioneers initiative is aimed at promoting the concept of honouring in the Emirati society and giving an opportunity to all UAE citizens to nominate themselves or other people who are pioneers in various fields.
