Abbas leaves Cairo after talks with Al Sisi


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas left Cairo on Tuesday after a several-day visit during which he met with the Egyptian President Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi and a number of high-level officials to discuss the latest developments in Palestine.

Abbas and Al Sisi agreed on the importance of halting practices that increase tension in the occupied territories.

They also stressed the need to bring an end to Israeli settlement activities, provide the protection to the Palestinian people, create the necessary atmosphere for the resumption of peace negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians.
