Bahrain's Bourse Unmoved after Fed Rate Hike Talk

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Bahrain Bourse closed Monday down 0.3% after losing 3.8 points affected by the services and industries sector.
Trading volume was 1.298 million shares worth 103.383 thousand dinars. Some 33 transactions took place today. The commercial banking sector controlled 73% of the total shares traded today.

Stock markets in the Arab World and the Gulf in particular were vulnerable on Monday after US Fed chair Janet Yellen said they are likely to hike interest rates in December. The rate hike would give a boost to the dollar and would have a deflationary pressure on oil and other commodities.
