 Kuwait- Punjab band performs traditional dances, songs
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A band from the Indian part of Punjab Province performed individual and group dances which are popular in the province and usually performed in social and national occasions.
The band, in an event co-organized by the National Council for Culture, Art and Letters (NCCAL) and the Indian Embassy at Shamiya Theater, performed some popular songs accompanied by the flute and drums.
The event is part of cultural cooperation between Kuwait and India, and to entertain the Kuwaiti audience of the different types of arts in Punjab.
The Pubjab is a province stretching over parts of India and Pakistan. The largest part, 65 percent, is located in Pakistan and the rest is Indian.
