Jordan to host 7th conference on Scientific Research


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince El- Hassan bin Talal, Jordan Society for Scientific Research (JSSR) will hold the Seventh Conference of Scientific Research on Nov.14.

The one-day meeting will focus on vital issues focusing on the need to link scientific research with development.

The conference which is organized by the JSSR and in cooperation with Middle East University will give Jordanian researchers the opportunity to submit and promote their scientific achievements.

A number of scientists and researchers from around the world including Jordan will participate in the meeting that aims to encourage cooperation between scientific and economic institutions as well as integrate scientific research with development, a JSSR statement said Saturday.

JSSR President Anwar Battikhi said that the conference will tackle important issues, including education, water resources and environmental management, applications of industrial engineering, Information and communications technology (ICT), current and future applications of stem cells and many other important issues.

The meeting aims at bridging better communication between researchers and decision makers to enhance the contribution of research outcomes in decision making, JSSR official added.

Established in 19999, the JSSR is an educational non-profit society that aims to develop the national interest in scientific research, support research activities and programs in the different sectors in the Kingdom as well as educate the public on the significance of scientific research for development to enhance the awareness in this domain.
