Jordan participates in Arab Medical Union meeting in Muscat


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The general secretariat of the Arab Medical Union (AMU), on Saturday, held a meeting in Oman's capital, Muscat, with the participation of representatives from 13 Arab countries including Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

President of the Arab Medical Union, Hashim Abu Hassan, said the meeting discussed aspects of medical cooperation between Arab countries, a number of issues of concern to the AMU, ways to develop medical services' level in Arab countries, developing medical regulations and legislation and protecting doctors and patients together.

Abu Hassan, who also serves as a senator, added that participants at the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the AMU work, its quest to keep up with scientific progress and developments in the world, its focus on cooperation between various unions and medical associations in Arab countries.
