Travellers warned as thousands due to strike at Australian airports


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Sydney Muharram 26 1437 November 08 2015 SPA -- Delays are expected at Australian airports Monday as
some 5000 Immigration and Border Force workers take part in a
24-hour strike over pay and conditions a news report said according to dpa.

Authorities warned travellers to arrive up to three hours early for
international travel and proceed directly to passport clearance.

Passengers arriving at international airports may experience delays
before they can clear passport and customs controls that will be run
by management staff Border Force Assistant Commissioner Clive Murray
said.

Nadine Flood of the Community and Public Sector Union told
broadcaster ABC Sunday that staff had had their pay cut and working
rights reduced.
