Zarif: Iran ready to boost cooperation with S. Korea in many fields


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has announced that his country is ready to promote cooperation with South Korea in many fields, mainly economic, political and parliamentary.
While receiving visiting Korean counterpart Yun Byung-se on Saturday, Zarif said that relations between Tehran and Seoul have been developing based on mutual respect and interest.
He added that the Iran-Korea joint economic committee provides chances for manufacturing products and a formed a base for investment in energy, environment, banking, education and tourism.
The Iranian official stressed the importance of diplomacy in addressing differences and settling disputes among countries.
He noted that implementing the nuclear agreement reached between Iran and the world powers will open new horizons in front of commercial and economic institutions between Tehran and Seoul.
On his part, the Korean minister also stressed his country's readiness to enhance ties with Iran.
As for regional issues, he said that Iran has a key role in the current regional developments, pointing to the possibility of the two sides to create an appropriate platform for achieving peace and security in the region.
