Light earthquake hits northern Lebanon
Beirut: A light earthquake measuring 3.9 magnitude on the Richter scale hit northern Lebanon on Friday evening.
The Bhannes-based National Center of Geophysics affiliated to the National Council for Scientific Research said in a statement that the earthquake took place in northern Baalbeck between Baalbeck and Fakiha at 19:50 pm local time Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported.
