Torrential rain claims 21 lives in Egypt Jordan


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Egypt and Jordan have seen severe weather and heavy rain in the past 48 hours that left 21 people dead and scores injured.

In Egypt the country's Ministry of Health said late Thursday that 17 people were killed and 28 others were injured in Beheira and Gharbiya provinces as a result of the bad weather conditions that hit the country this week.

Last week five people died in Alexandria after heavy rain flooded homes and caused electric shocks.

Meanwhile in Jordan bad weather killed four people including three Egyptian nationals two of whom were children.
