Jordan- Education minister delivers Jordan's speech at UNESCO's Session


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Chairman of the Jordan National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, Mohammad Thunaibat, Wednesday, delivered Jordan's speech at the 38th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural and Organization (UNESCO) held in Paris.

Thunaibat said holding the conference once every two years is part of the international responsibility to promote a culture of peace, tolerance and justice within the framework of freedom and openness, to build a human society based on dialogue and respect for others.

He congratulated the president-elect of the thirty-eighth session of the General Conference of the UNESCO Stanley Mutumba Simataa of Namibia and wished him success.

In his speech, the education minister talked about UNESCO's role in preserving the cultural heritage of the Holy City of Jerusalem.

Also, he tackled the Palestinian issue and the Syrian refugee crisis repercussions on the Kingdom's education system.
