S. Korea's Electric Co. logs USD1.3b in gross profit over Q3


(MENAFN) KEPCO, government operated Korea Electric Power Corp., registered a high USD8.16 billion net profit over the three months to September, jumping from last year's USD1.3 billion.

More on the matter, the state-run company explained that the staggering surge was mainly attributed to the gains from asset sales, not to mention greater electricity rates.

Additionally, Operating income also increased 52 percent on-year to USD3.8 billion, let alone sales which advanced 3.8 percent to USD13.5 billion through the mentioned timeframe.
