UAE Central Bank celebrates Flag Day

ABU DHABI 5th November 2015 (WAM) -- Mohammed Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE accompanied by Saif Bin Hadif Al Shamsi Assistant Governor for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability and senior Central Bank officials hoisted the UAE flag at the premises of the Central Bank's head office on UAE Flag Day.

At the same time managers and senior staff at the Central Bank branches in Dubai Sharjah Ras al-Khaimah Fujairah and Al Ain also hoisted the UAE flag.

The move comes in response to the initiative launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in celebration of Flag Day which coincides with the Accession Day of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the presidency of the UAE and His Highness's call for all federal ministries departments and agencies to hoist the UAE flag at their buildings.

On behalf of all Central Bank's staff the Deputy Governor expressed his appreciation and loyalty to the President of the UAE and prayed that the UAE flag remains a symbol of dignity and pride.
