UAE's flying academy to buy 27 training airplanes


(MENAFN) Dubai-based Emirates Airlines' training academy intends to purchase an overall 27 aircrafts from Cirrus, the American airplane manufacturer.

Brazil's Embraer is also included in the deal which is valued at USD39 million, and basically the aircrafts will be used by the academy to train its cadet pilots.

In more detail, the Emeriti training institute has stated that the purchase consists of 22 Cirrus SR22 and five twin-jets Embraer Phenom 100E.

Furthermore, competing Etihad Airways placed an order for four Phenom 100E jets for its flight college unit, thus it will bring its training fleet to 20 on delivery.
