UAE- DIHQA attends Sharjah and Algeria Int'l Book Fairs

DUBAI 5th November. 2015 (WAM)-- The Dubai International Holy Quran Award DIHQA is all set with new publications for the 34th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair being held at the Sharjah Expo Centre from November 4th-14th.

Ibrahim Bu Melha Head of the DIHQA Organising Committee and Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs said that the body is keen to be part of the annual premier event with all new titles.

"The Sharjah International Book Fair has become such a leading hub for authors publishers and libraries in the Arab and Islamic worlds that the award could not help but exhibit a big number of publications" he said.

Prof. Mohammed Abdulrahim Sultan-al-Ulama Head of DIHQA Competitions Unit said the award is showcasing more than 80 publications in Quran studies as well as miracles in the Holy Quran Prophetic Sunnah and a Biography of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Meanwhile the award is taking part in the 20th edition of the Algeria International Book Salon being organised at the Maritime Pine Exhibition Palace in the Algerian capital of Algiers.

The event to conclude on November 7th is seeing the large participation of over 1000 exhibitors hailing from 50 countries on four continents Prof. Sultan-al-Ulama added. "These include 620 foreign publishers and 290 local Algerian exhibitors."

The award delegation includes Khalid Al Marzouqi Deputy Head of the Public Relations unit and Omar Deeb of the studies and researches unit. Prof. Sultan-al-Ulama said it was the first time that the Dubai International Holy Quran Award had participated in the salon.
