SCAD's new Board of Directors holds first meeting

ABU DHABI 4th November 2015 (WAM) -- The newly constituted Board of Directors of Statistics center-Abu Dhabi (SCAD) held its first ordinary meeting under the chairmanship of Rashid Bin Lahej Al Mansouri and in the presence of Butti Ahmed Mohammed Bin Butti Al Qubaisi Director General.

Rashid Bin Lahej Al Mansouri Chairman of the Board of Directors welcomed the members wishing them success in their duties and reaffirming his confidence in their ability to contribute to the implementation of the Centre's plans in order to ensure that it continues to support development plans in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Board reviewed the third quarterly organisational performance report on Strategy 2016 - 2020 emphasising SCAD's endeavour to develop statistical work by providing relevant and reliable statistics to the various segments of data users including public policy makers the business community and the general public in addition to setting higher quality standards for statistical product coordination with partners and keeping abreast of developments in statistical work. The board also stressed the importance of aligning the objectives of SCAD's strategy with the plans of Abu Dhabi Emirate.

The Board also reviewed the key performance indicators and initiatives.
