US trade gap narrows sharply in September


(MENAFN- AFP) The US trade deficit narrowed more sharply than expected in September, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday.

The trade gap fell to $40.8 billion in September from a revised $48.0 billion in August. The deficit was much smaller than the consensus estimate of $43.0 billion.
