Russia Destroys More than 90 percent of Its Chemical Arsenal


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Russia destroyed more than 90 percent of its arsenal of chemical weapons, including those inherited from the Soviet times, and will continue moving to total elimination in accordance with its international obligation.

Russia has eliminated so far 92 percent of the reserves of chemical weapons it inherited from the former Soviet Union when the convention had just been implemented, Sputnik News said.

According to the program designed to destroy these weapons, Moscow has planned total destruction of its arsenals by 2020.
