Secretary of foreign ministry meets with Kazakh, Dutch envoys


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Mohammad Bani Yaseen, on Tuesday, discussed separately with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Rapil Zhoshybayev, and the Dutch Foreign Ministry's Special Representative for Counterterrorism, Piet de Klerk, developments in the Middle East, and ways of cementing bilateral relations between Jordan and their countries.

With regard to anti-terrorism efforts, Bani Yassin said the war on terrorism, as described by His Majesty King Abdullah II, "is our war within Islam and Islam is based on moderation, acceptance of others and renouncing violence and extremism." As for the Palestinian issue, Bani Yaseen stressed Jordan's position which calls for realizing the two-state solution, ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty on the fourth of June 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Kazakh and Dutch officials expressed their countries' support to Jordan's efforts and the humanitarian role it plays on behalf of the international community.
