UAE- Al Tayer French ambassador discuss cooperation

DUBAI 4th November 2015 (WAM) -- Matar Al Tayer Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority RTA and Michel Miraillet French Ambassador to the UAE have discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the authority and French institutions and companies involved in transportation.

During the meeting which was attended by Majdi Abed French Consul General in Dubai Dr. Yousef Al Ali CEO of RTA's Public Transport Agency and Abdullah Yousef Al Ali CEO of the Rail Agency the parties discussed the implementation of road projects and mass transit systems and ways develop them to broader horizons.

Al Tayer briefed the French delegation on the most important projects that the authority intends to implement to develop the roads infrastructure and means of transport means such as the implementation and operation of railway projects including "Masar 2020" to extend the Dubai Metro Red and Green lines to the EXPO 2020 site as well as implementing the second phase of the Dubai tram project.

The French ambassador commended the strong relations between the UAE and France and the comprehensive development witnessed in the Emirate of Dubai.
