Yemen President meets U.S Ambassador

RIYADH 4th November 2015 (WAM) -- Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi met yesterday with the U.S Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tauler and discussed a number of topics and issues of interest to both countries in various fields as well as the prospects of peace and the efforts of the UN Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Al-Sheikh Ahmed.

During the meeting the parties discussed the latest developments in the Yemeni arena and the continuous brutal aggression by the Houthi militia on a number of provinces especially Taiz. He also pointed out the efforts being made by the government and the technical committee formed by the legitimate authority.

The ambassador affirmed his country's support for the security stability and unity of Yemen and the legitimate authority represented by President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi. He also commended the Yemeni Government's humanitarian and relief work and reconstruction of number of provinces despite the current circumstances in Yemen.
