US Activision Blizzard pays USD5.9b for King's takeover
(MENAFN) Activision Blizzard, the American top video game producer is about to finalize the acquisition of King Digital Entertainment for a high-sky USD5.9 billion.
King Digital Entertainment, the largest game developer ever in the history of the website Facebook is best known for its hit "Candy Crush Saga" mobile game.
As for Activision, the buyout will establish one of the biggest global entertainment networks with over half a billion combined monthly active users in 196 countries.
"The joint revenues and profits solidify our position as the largest, most profitable standalone company in interactive entertainment," said Activision's CEO.
