S. Korea's key carmakers see China sales rebound

(MENAFN) For the first time in six months in October, both Hyundai and KIA Motors Corp., South Korean top automakers, witnessed their mutual sales bounce in mainland China.

Additionally, the two carmakers sold an overall of 156,575 automobiles in China last month, increasing 4.7 percent from the previous year, following last month's 11 percent decline.

Moreover, the latest data showed that Hyundai sold 100,069 cars last month in China, an 8.2 percent jump from 2014, while Kia saw its sales slip 0.9 percent to 56,506 units.

In particular, the recovery was mainly driven by good sales of newly launched models such as the Tucson, the Sonata of Hyundai Motor and the new edition of the K5 by Kia Motors.
