Qatar- First FIA Women Cross Country Selection kicks off

Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) President and FIA Vice-President for MENA Nasser bin Khalifa Al Attiyah poses for a picture with drivers and co-drivers attending the first FIA Women Cross Country Selection which kicked off yesterday in Doha with the registration for the 18 candidates that have been selected out of 85 applicants. The women are taking part in a five-day training programme in Qatar under instructors Jutta Kleinschmidt and Fabrizia Ponz where the winners one driver and one co-driver will be chosen to team up and participate in the 2016 Sealine Cross Country Rally. The drivers taking part ar Charlotte Berton of France Jonna Lisa Eson Bradhe of Sweden Emma Gilmour of New Zealand Cristina Gutiérrez Herrero of Spain Klaudia Podkalicka of Poland Melanie Schulz of Germany Yara Shalaby of Egypt Molly Taylor of Australia and Sara Williams of United Kingdom. The co-drivers taking part are: Lisette Bakker of Netherlands Tania Cardoso Sequeira of Portugal Yasmeen Elmajed of Jordan Veronica Engan of Norway Rhianon Gelsomino of Australia Sandra Labuscagne of South Africa Jasmeen Singh Bhandhair of Zambia Natalie Solbach-Schmidt of Germany and Lara Vanneste of Belgium.
